EPTN represented at Pequot Museum’s Archaeology Expo

On Saturday, October 14th, 2017 an Archaeology Expo was hosted at the Pequot Museum. This event included an exhibit by the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation with the help of Dr. Stephen Silliman and 3 UMASS Boston graduate students. Tribal members and those from UMASS Boston were able to informally discuss the archaeological sites on the reservation and had an artifact collection on display for visitors.

Mashantucket had a Historic Preservation exhibit and a Pequot War Battlefields exhibit which included a picture of Ralph Sebastian and others working in the field. The Expo participants also included Jason Mancini, PhD, Director of the Pequot Museum, Kevin McBride, PhD, Director of Museum Research and Development and Brian Jones, PhD, CT State Archaeologist.
